Review : Well-priced door sensors and system

Works great. We’ve used these for over 2 years indoors and outdoors without replacing the batteries. We use these with the Skylink SK-150 Basic Starter Kit that has a hub and some Skylink cameras. When I bought the system in Oct 2015, this was the cheapest DIY system I could find. Some of the others had monthly fees or $30+ sensors (I paid $20/each for this sensor).

For installation, the original sticky backs are strong. They stayed up about a year and then we had to pull some of them off when we were getting our door frames and fence replaced. To install the sensors again, we bought some double-sided sticky tape. We screwed one of the sensors to the door frame and that worked well too.

The push notification is nice. If I’m at work and the notification goes, I can look on the cameras. The log of when the door sensors were triggered is handy too.
