Review : Self installed and happy, :update: still great after the first year.
Update 12/17/17*** This system is solid as a rock. Over three and a half years and none of the remote sensors have failed or drained a battery. That includes the sensors that get used constantly on the entry doors. Even the key fobs haven’t gone through a battery yet. The app works great on android. I highly recommend this system.
I have a decent tech background. Anyone with enough patience and know how to go to youtube and watch a video can set this system up. The Zwave has to be activated to function, this is so dealers can lock you out and charge more for the functionality. I appreciate they have to make a living, but if you are a DIY person this is easy to enable. I haven’t dealt with the alarm.com monitoring yet. I want the family to get used to using it first, but will use the monitoring soon.
